RedSquid has partnered with Ocean Blue Software (OBS). OBS was founded in 2005 with a strong focus on software licensing. It employs around fifty software engineers across the UK/EU, Middle East and South Africa. It has grown to become a trusted partner for some of the world’s biggest names in smart TV, set top boxes, and semiconductors. Today, OBS supports partners who deliver millions of smart TV devices worldwide.
YouView
YouView is a UK hybrid TV platform that combines free-to-air DTT channels with on-demand and streaming services in a single user experience. Originating as a broadcaster–ISP joint venture, it pioneered the backwards-scrolling EPG linking directly into players such as BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4 Streaming and My5, and today powers devices for partners including BT/EE and TalkTalk. RedSquid has demonstrated YouView services running on RedSquid-powered TVs, showing how established hybrid platforms can coexist within an operator-controlled TV environment.
